Mrs Ed was admiring a Euro that I had made recently ... 'I like them but they are to big for me' ...She's only 4' 10" with correspondingly small hands.... so I made her a mini version out of one of Woody's apple blanks. It's not banana shaped in real life,it was just the angle that I took the photo.Shown next to the standard size Euro

Very nice, Ed - both of 'em! And those woods look brill! Well done!

Re the shorter version - I've often made an under-length Euro due to something going wrong during the turning. etc. So long as you have enough upper barrel for the top end of the refill to fit inside then you can make them as short as you want. At a push you can make the pen even shorter by removing the plastic seal on the refill as well, but only as a last resort, LOL! As I'm sure you'll know already!

You should show how you done it Ed I'm sure most of us would be interested

Welllll Woody. You would get exactly the same result if you were to cock up and use two slimline brass tubes instead of the correct Euro brass tubes ..if you get my drift

Two of your better ones IMHO Ed my Wilma is towering at 5 foot one me at 6 foot two Never underestimate the power of a woman. When we first married I picked herself up all of 6 stone carried her over the threshhold right pleased with myself she said Id like to do that we backtracked and she carried me over the threshhold. Lesson learned day one.

I must say Ed I liked both pens from that beaut timber well presented mate. A happy wife is a happy home she must nearly have enough pens by now.

Kind regards Peter. PS merry everything to you and yours.

Ed, Thats a great idea and well executed. I think we'lll have to call it Eds Purse Pen.

I take it you do have a purse to go with that pink outfit?

Seriously though, the Euro is a well conceived and engineered pen but with all twist pens designed for Ladies they are too top heavy for a Ladies hand (Sculpted, Filligree, all top heavy). I am going to have a play tonight and make a closed end top, reduced length Euro top and see how it goes with the Ladies - I am often asked for a pen without a clip as a Purse Pen.
