Had a go at turning one of Phil's Mistrals today but all did not go well, I was using some buckeye burr from Rocky Bemis, lots of colour and different patters, stabilised it first but still had a couple of big tear outs, I've had a go at rescuing, filling the tear outs with brass powder.

Not sure if I like the results, its currently drying having coated it with lacquer, will have another look tomorrow & decide if I should assemble it or turn it right back to the tubes & start again. :whistling::whistling:
