Mistral in Vintage Cellulose acetate

Worked on this for a while, not easy to get the cap section out of the vintage material
All about diameters. Just did it!
Cellulose acetate is is lovely to turn, and I love this particular variety.
Combined with the classic lines of the Mistral, this pen evokes the age of the fountain pen!

Great when it works and that does...i have used the vintage rods before and some kits are a squeeeeeze but worth the effort:banana::banana:

Age and vintage conjur up recollections and what was can be again,this pen does that. Recently a nurse in hospital contact with me proffered his fountain pen for me to sign a consent form. I remarked that this was a first time ever in a hospital situation. He said its great except the occasional ink stains. My sentiments expressed exactly.

The blank Peter is special in its own domain, love the pen overall.

Nicely done Pete, that material really does match the kit. I've got some vintage material but have yet to touch it yet, want more practice under my belt first :)
