Another Christmas present, the plans showed a brass rear door assembly which can be brought from America so not wanting to be bothered with paying a small fortune just to have it posted in other words I am a tight git(Not quite old yet). I did however make up a simple locking system that requires the new owner to dial in 2 numbers to open it up, the second door is held closed with a simple drop down bolt so when not used as a money box it can be played with. I also made the wheels with a home made jig to help drill the spoke holes. It measures 11 1/2" long 7 1/2" tall and 4" wide, made from tulip wood and sapele also some odd bits of unknown wood.

Thank you guys all the presents are now finished so may get some turning done now.

I think your grandson has made a fantastic job with this moneybox Derek !!! LOL:whistling::whistling::whistling:

That is what I am afraid of in the future:funny: I had to keep it hidden as he would think it was his, it is for his brother
