I've only got about half a dozen pieces of Monkey Puzzle left but it has dried out very nice with just a slight bit of spalting.

This vase 7" diam was hollowed out to approx 11" deep with a wall thickness of just over 1/4"

The knots certainly gave me a hard time during hollowing

Very nice Vic never seem to see Monkey puzzle available anywhere

Funnily enough I've just been given some Monkey Puzzle and, having hardly touched my lathe in ages, I'm never going to use them. If anyone is interested they are welcome to them

very nice work, and lovely wood. I have some wee planks just discovered the dreaded worms have got to them. I have the centre of a knot, very hard, been wondering what to make with it.
