Hi, Guys,


Some of you may have seen pens I've made in the past from planks from a pallet given to me by a mate. The wood is called Meranti, and it's such a shame that gems like this are used to make packing cases and pallets:down::down::down:


This is a Euro in the mid-brown I have but the colours range from yellow/beige up through all the browns to the deep reds - and all from the same pallet!


Up through the grits to 1500, one swipe of white spirit to clean out, and pop, the grain, three coats of friction polish.
