Another great place to find fascinating Scandinavian timber here used to be glass merchants the timber is long, heavier straight grained and other it has to be for those huge sheets of glass. Wilma and me spent a few months and built a large back verandah with this timber it came up a treat. Over here Meranti is sold by the metre for decking and another real source is the hardware store for fancy picket type fencing pieces even better.


Like your enterprise and your pens but IMHO a real difficult timber Meranti looks like Palm tree when you finish it especially across the grain. :bravo:
