Had a bit more wood delivered today. 2 lengths of holly 7ft by 3 inch which I've used and like. Also a 4ft length of plum about 4 inch across. Never used it, is it any good.

I recently got some freshly felled damson & it was bright pinky red, these colours do fade but still make stunning features, I'm sure you'll get some lovely pieces out of yours.

Keith, not so familiar with Holly green but with the plum I had best results standing the timber up than horizontal a very wise old turner told me to try this works for me as well. Plum normally a pinkish red timber quite nice IMHO one of the pick of fruit woods.

Kind regards Peter.
