Or - The most you have ever sold a Pen for.... (or Pen Set) :thinks:

People are always asking how much do you sell pens for etc so thought it would be nice to see some "Expensive" pens.
Post a picture along with what you got for it - might be a commission, something special, or a total one off (like mine below).

I made the below display and it went to a Charity Auction - I was expecting it to reach £150 or £200 (I had my fingers crossed), but it went for so much more :shocking:

With the exception of the truck (that was a Limited Edition model) everything wood wise was made from an original Jack Daniels Barrel.
The Pen set consisted of a fountain pen and a ball point, the base is a section of a barrel lid and I turned the little barrels (though the writing on them was NOT done by me - they are stickers :whistling: )

All with a letter of authenticity and original receipt for the truck and wood from the Jack Daniels Factory in America.

It finally went for over £500 - I was ever so slightly Shocked to say the least (But very happy for the Charity):thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

So lets see your creations............................

Again 4 of these went to a charity auction in engraved boxes and we raised £1k for the RNLI....
The most I have sold an individual pen was £150..... As I previously stated its also about location, in an affluent area with more disposable income its very difficult to sell a cheap pen, in the same way in a low income area its hard to sell an expensive one. :thinks::thinks:

I sold two fountain pens for over 700£ to individuals, but they had 18K nibs, which count for 180£ or so. Both were urushi pens, the second is adorned with gold:

With steel nibs, I sometime sell pens for over 500£, like this kitless one with a Damascus clip:

My usual high-end price is around 400£, often urushi-coated. I must say prefer to sell one pen I had fun to make for 400£, than 10 kit pens priced 40£.
