Finally got to turn the pen I have had in mind for some time now. It has been a big learning curve to get to this point.
It is far from perfect, but as it is still only the third Kitless pen I have completed I am very happy with it. Next one will be better.

Loving the freedom to use imagination for shape and style etc.

Nice job David.

Good looking pen and extra kudos for the wooden section. A lot of work in that.

Cheers

Love it. Is that a double sided section? two threads separated by a band? maybe it has a proper name that I don't know. My attenpt number 1 was like that but I didnt have anything to hold a tool on my tailstock so everything had to be done by eye. It was awful!

It's just a standard type of section, just wrapped in a piece of oak. 20200626_072544.jpg
It is a fiddly job from the start but appears to be one of those skills that practise really does help.
I used a piece Semplicita SHDC pen blank from Phil which take a thread really well and are not too expensive when you have to bin a chunk.
