I didn't turn this, but it was made from some of the mulberry I gave my friend Barry Richardson. Someday I will be able to do hollow forms, but it shows off the wood nicely

Mulberry in the burl form is not unlike the beaut form but simply crazy grain rare as. This hollowed vessel is superb I can see why Silk Worms make it their preferred home.

Actually these technically are not burls. They are the knobs of scar tissue formed by pollarding mulberry trees to contain their growth. Like these. The effect is similar to burls, but I have been called on the carpet in other forums for calling them burls :goesred:
