This is what I came up with for the competition, it has two purposes, one it is for someone with Arthritis in their hand to write with and the other use is as a Yawara stick. It's surprising light as I used spalted Silver Birch and the size was arrived at by telephoning my MIL in Norway and asked her to hold different diameter things in a writing position, no I am not inviting rude comments, as she has stopped writing letters as her arthritis is too bad and she can't hold a normal pen. It weighs 90gr. and is 170mm from tip to tip and is 42mm dia. at the centreband. The finish is CA and I buffed it instead of MM and it is a mirror finish, just look at the ends and you will see the reflection of the nibs. So we have 1 entry into the competition
