My first Celtic twist pen

I bought one of the new Celtic twist pen kits from Axminster's Nuneaton store when I was down there last weekend.
Today I dressed it in a burr elm blank, that Brody kindly stabilised for me last year. Quite a chunky pen

Its a beautiful bit of wood Chas well turned and finished not sure about the kit if I am honest mate

Whats does it feel like it looks like its quite heavy ?

Feels chunky and it is heavy (20g) but it will be heavier than normal having a stabilised blank

I didn't like these kits when I first saw them, but the more I look at them the more I am starting to like them. Looks good with the elm Chas.

Great chunky pen , great for people with arthritis to use.
Nice Celtic knot-work design much appreciated by the Celts.

I too wasn't sure of the kit, but after seeing some of the more "Unusual" kits at Woody's, I will now wait until i see them up close before Not Liking them, gotta get a feel for them
