My first ever Mistral, turned from a piece of Dario's Poplar Burl that I stabilised yesterday, I think I've done them both justice if I may say so myself :winking:

You certainly have, it is good to see this Poplar Burr as it sure does make quality pens, as we see above .. :thumbs:

You do have to cherry pick through them though to get pieces this nice!

Life is like that if only we could do this before we buy, but we mostly seek a bargain or have to choose at a distance. When I see an AAAA blank and it has a premium on it I understand fully why.

Another method being used to enhance cosmetically has been dieing singly or in multiples turning out some very special pens.

I will try all of these but love it when you acheive a result as you have from the chisel.

Life is like this countless billions spent on people enhancement.
