Well I finally did my first fountain pen.

This was the charnwood elite fountain pen kit and was made from walnut.

Absolutely beautiful wood to work with and finished with friction Polish and microcrystalline wax.

This was a commission piece and the customer was delighted.

What fountain pen kits do you guys reccomend for resale?

I'd like
Slimline pen as my budget pen
A nice parker style pen I'm thinking the charnwood cigar kit.
A nice rollerball
A fountain pen that I'm hoping will be a nice setup for my shop any and all advice appreciated

That's rather nice....well done.

I think most people know my go-to kits
FP is the Leveche
RB is the Sirocco
Top end the Mistral all Beaufort ink
Budget
FP is the Omega
Slimline is the Delta, Taylors Mirfield

I always choose quality over quantity you do get what you pay for....also check out Penkitzandbitz...

A lovely pen.đź‘Ť
As a finish friction polish doesn’t last very long. A lot pen makers use melamine, me included, using Phil’s method which you can source on the forum.
Flexi’s choice of kits is spot on.

Very nice pen I love the contrast. Congratulations on your first fountain pen. Haven't yet tried one to date as yet I'm a bit scared as not sure if I have enough experience, but also have had Cataract Surgery done on both eyes. Review isn't till end of July so if everything goes OK hopefully back to turning by September. However I have to replace current stock so might be October to have a go.......

Nice job!

I don’t make many kits these days but when I did (and if I were to again) then I would agree with Flexi. Beaufort Ink would be my first stop for the mid to high end kits (all truly excellent quality).

For a more affordable option I always liked the Byron from ProKraft.

Cheers
Ash
