As I have been asked to post a photo of the pen I made for "her indoors" here's a couple. It is a slimline twist pen kit and an Acrylic blank, both from Axminster.

Thats a nice finish Chas. Is it the photo or is the body a fraction too thick at the nib end.

A very well turned and finished pen Chas, Purple Haze is definitely a favourite among women, especially when they look like this ..

Flat out superior first pen Chas secretly we all wished we had that ability for our first congratulations and admiration, keeping it in the family seemed a safe option.

You've certainly done a good job on that Chas, the turning and finishing is spot on.

What a stunner for a first pen Chas. I can see why the other half has pinched it. I wish my first pen was half as good as that.

Anyway, now tether half has nicked it then you can be rest assured that the rest of your family will pinch the next batch of the lathe.. That's the most expensive bit.... Supplying the whole family before you can even sell one..

It is showing the tube on both barrels, but for first pen I thought it was superb. Sure Chas I'll look at it in a few weeks (years with me) and look at how far you have come on with pen turning..

Thanks for the complements everyone
Kardav: I've checked Axminsters website and it is definitely a Slimline
Turnaround360: Thanks for the advice on painting the tube. But do I paint each tube the same colour as the acrylic or just white?
