Terry (The Chairman) has kindly taken me under his wing and he has been trying to educate me in the art of photography.
He sorted me out about camera settings and lighting and Iv'e had a real good tuition session over the phone this afternoon with him on how to use Photoshop Elements.

Here's Hoping that you can see an improvement.

Thanks Woody, I have Terry to thank for the improvement, yet another very nice man on the Forum.
I got the Blank from Vincent at The Turners Workshop. It's one of his Inlace selection. They are quite brittle so sharp tools were a must

A vast improvement, you have got a fine tutor, I am not sure I could be ar*ed to tutor anyone:whistling:

I hope you can sustain that quality as a minimum ie get it like that everytime, once Terry has got you under control you will be able to play about.

The only problem with getting decent photos is that we will be able to see any slightest imperfection in your pens, so if you let the quality of your photos drop we know why:funny::funny::funny:

Well done Vic and Terry it's great:thumbs:

Nice photo and pen Vic.
I like the look of the blank. Was tempted llast time I was there but didn't realise they'd turn out like that so will have to try some now.

Funny you say that, when I looked at the pic I thought it looks slightly undersized at the nib end (ridge visible).

But I'm sure it's a trick of the light

Nice blank, well finished and a good match for the kit.

I'm off to have a look at the blanks now.

I thought exactly the same, but I am not going to mention it as Vic has done a tremendous leap, but soooon:thumbs:

Considering the previous posts I thought Vic was a carpet salesman!
Fantastic Pic Vic:thumbs:

I too noticed the nib end but thought the lessons had only got as far as how to photoshop out the Blu-tack:whistling:

Seriously, well done Vic and Terry for giving your time.
Now all you have to master is putting a finished pen in the finished pens forum!

Bloody plonker!:face::funny:
