Well I have taken the plunge at making some polymer clay pens first I went on the web site to make sure I got all the baking instructions right then sat and made three blanks up and they looked quite good for first attempt so in the oven they go set the temperature to 220 as it said set the timer for 20 min as the instructions said and sat waiting well after about 10 min the room became a bit smoky and smelly Violet said don't that stuff stink and we both said if this is what its like then forget it so I thought I had better have a look time to investigate WOW they were done and done again and again well never using the bloody oven 220 f and 220 c what oh dear ebony blanks LOL :funny::funny::funny::funny::funny::funny: oh this is bloody fun aint it better luck tomorrow feel free to have a good laugh at my expense I am enjoy

Bloody Hell Woody you ain't half burnt the chips there mate. I think you have got your temperatures mixed up !

I should imagine that the temp dial on your oven is in Centigrade and the Clay should be baked at 110 degrees centigrade for 20 to 30 mins.

I always do mine for 30 mins and then turn the oven off and let them cool in the oven.

:chuckle: Look on the bright side, you have given a warning to all those who are going to try it. I always work in Centigrade as in my formative years it was all around me and now I haven't got a clue about fartinhight. Next time can you take a picture before you cook it:yourtheman:

I use a little toaster oven I bought for 30 quid and use it just for clay and checked the temp with an oven thermometer as most ovens are not that accurate I would recommend using the house oven as you found out it can linger a bit if it burns:nonono:
