I was six in 1940 there were very few cars in the big city I was living at that time thank you for the memories, I was fond of the Chevrolets as well. Petrol was in full rationing, all the deliveries in Melbourne were done using huge to a young boy horses and wagons. Lot of real time and money in that car.

That's a sweet looking ride. Lots of time and money tied up there. Have you ridden in it?

Yes, he has 3 other cars. '40 Ford, '50 Mercury, and a '53 Ford. All custom show cars.
He takes them out once in a while and we'll go for coffee.
They were featured in Kustom Illustrated.
Here's the 53 Ford. Those are '56 Packard tail lights.
