I have not stayed current here as life in the USA has gone bonkers. But this is special to me and I wanted to share it.

I have had a nice exchange of messages with Alan Morrison for a bit now and we occasionally exchange materials. I was blessed with some Irish Elm and Irish Bog Oak and finally got around to some shop time.

This was a challenge due to not enough shop time this year (rusty skills), eyesight issues and memory lapses on how I did this previously. A few elements I'd do differently, but it all came out OK in the end.

Thanks for the material Alan! Friends are precious these days.

Irish Elm, Irish Bog Oak, Trim Rings and credit cards I confiscated from my wife's purse..... :goesred:

The pickies show a bit of the process, and the trim rings that went splat were fun to find in the piles of sawdust :winking:

Stay healthy my friends across the pond!

Mark, I'm very glad to have played a very minor role in the production of this masterpiece.
Thanks for the photographs.
If you have any photographs showing how you made the rings then we would appreciate seeing that process.

Great pen, Mark. Elm is one of my favourites.

That is stunning and so much work. I have already found a piece of ebony and now looking for the wife’s credit card to have a go myself!
