Hi all,
Some will know from the title,
Those that don't,... I have just ordered two blanks from polymer clay Queen Toni Street in the US, she always uses purple jiffy bags. Her blanks are stunning and ships from the US happily, these were under a week straight to my door mat, fantastic service. IMG_20220407_174128.jpg

Hi Garno,
No, not pre turned.... Toni makes polymer clay canes and these she uses to make the blanks from. It's a fascinating process, I liken it to how they get the letters into a stick of rock.... Don't try eating these though... Once she has the canes these are cut wafer thin and applied onto the base/background material, then blended. Once she has it fully covered and blended they get baked in the oven to cure(definitely do not try this at home Mrs Garno will not be happy!!)
Toni makes the blanks to the finished bushes size, so all I need to do is a little polish and a CA finish:banana::banana:

Had a quick look on her site, some of her stuff is wonderful.

I thought it was pricey but your explanation kind of justifies that somewhat, I assume the one's to look at would be under "pen kits"
Something to try in 3 - 4 months :whistling:

Yes, Garno.... Most of her blanks are bespoke and she will create them from what she has, I did an autumnal blank with pumpkins, owls and bat's as well as a fishy one. Yes her work isn't cheap, but then break down the hours involved and it's probably bellow minimum wage!! :whistling::whistling:

Thanks for showing these, Mark.
I had seen a lot of Toni's work on IAP forum but now glad to see you bringing this art to UK.
Her blanks certainly give a pen a completely different look and make them a talking point.
I like her floral series and they would appeal to the ladies no doubt, the tiger skin blanks are attractive as well.
Not so sure that I want to be looking at a dead man's skull too much, though!!! Ok for halloween I suppose.

A big appeal is the little chance of messing them up as it involves no turning (If I have understood it correctly).

They look stunning.

Guess what Mrs G is getting for Christmas this year (and I don't mean drunk :whistling:)
