David,

The pen you despatched if I remember it correctly was a true piece of pen turning art. You must have been very sorry to part with it.

The pen you have received is very pleasant and I hope you enjoy it, but it isn't in the same class.

Take a guess
A little strange to sign up to make something you can't make :nooidea::nooidea:

As others have said it looks a very nice pen but is hardly the effort that has gone into making yours

When you sign up to a swap thats it on the IAP one of Englands finest maker of pens usually goes into the lower tier of turners all kitless, and can never expect a return of equal workmanship, however in this instance in good faith and in advance of your return by a month the basic rules were not kept dissapointing yes IMHO. You have confirmed my decision not to swap pens again. Nonetheless you did receive a pen thats more than so many in the past.

Meanwhile I have had large numbers of swappees become quite good friends and your experience David is in the minority overall. to the slackers  to you :claps:

Kind regards Peter.

When you get a magnificent pen after you send out something a bit ordinary, you must feel very lucky indeed. :funny::funny::funny:

or do I mean I would be extremely frustrated after what you sent to him. Send me a pen and I promise to send you a nice one in return; I've got some gorgeous pine that I could fit into a slimline. :whistling::whistling::whistling::whistling:

Thanks for the comments guys. I think that, like Peter, my pen-swapping days are behind me - at least with strangers. If you'd like to win this pen I have a comp running on my Facebook page which closes Tuesday.

Very nice indeed David, and it is very nice to see your page growing, i wish you all the best for the future with it my friend ..
