That is simply superb in nearly every way init?
Lovely bit o wood to choose with some super patterning in it.
Smashing form, even practical, if you can think of a use for it?
Just a bit of chatter on the rim but it don't detract.

Barry I have never seen a hollow form with that design IMHO delightful it is sensible wall thickness using imperial 3/8 inch I am so familiar with. To keep some weight in it is real common sense you can then use it not lose it every puff of wind.

The crazy spalting astounding.:noway1::noway1::noway1::claps::claps:

Well done on turning this hollow form an achievement in anyones book lovely piece of wood and finish looks good. Having said that the shape is not something that I like but that is a personal thing I like to see flowing lines.

Congrats fella. Clearly had a lot of fun. Great finish. Lovely piece of wood. Was there a plan for the shape or having fun?

Is it art or functional? Not to distract from the skill, but it says it should be functional to me but not sure what?
