I have been searching the UK sites for an adaptor for my myford metal lathe which is 1 1/8 x 12 tpi so that my grandson can use my spindle threaded  M33 x 3.5mm (T38)chucks on it.

I'm sure that the myford ML8 wood lathe was the same thread as the ML7 but either I'm thick (no comments please) ? but I can only find the Teknatool US Web site showing them available.

I have an Axminster small variable lathe which he uses from time to time,  but ( there always is one with grandchildren) he wants to use the Myford  as he wants to turn ali/copper/brass pen and has tried the small Axi but he is loosing confidence with it.

I was going to turn one on  the myford but the dies for the M33 are a little pricey, but if that's  the only way then that's what will have to happen. .:nonono:

Any ideas greatfully received..

why do I have the feeling that someone is going to make look stupid. :rolling::thinks:
