I would hazard a guess, but I've seen the answer elsewhere, so I'll bow out. I realise the branch wood is a big clue, but is the pyro on the branch wood significant?

Nice looking pen what ever it's made from.

yes Phil. the branch is made from the same timber and the pyro represents that wood in an ancient Celtic language

FRom Pyro to Biro in penmaking choices made and met Johnny the naming or shaming is immaterial.

What I see is an interesting series of interesting black lies in the timber relating to the beaut grain then the kit. REsult a pen with as Les would say character,I say fascination. So well made mate.

It is not the letter S or Willow.
Ogham alphabet, the arrow at the bottom is there to show which way the staves point, in this case to the left of centre.
Mirror what you see and all will be revealed.
The answer is Collen (Hazel) .
A lovely spalted piece that i had.
