No, not the colour!

I've not been on here for ages, well over a year, as another project took over last year, so I've not turned a lot, a few gifts here and there.

But I've kept an eye on the forum and the Facebook page and I'm thrilled that both are going well, and I'll try and get into the competition this month.

But, I'm looking for some help......a friend is 70 in a few weeks and he's an ex navy man, so I was hoping to make him a pen from some wood with a naval connection.

Has anyone on here got something suitable or has a source that I could look into?

Thank you all for any help!

Gav

Oh, this was last year's project.......

Hi Gav, I know Bill Mooney had some teak from an old ship, may have been HMS Ark Royal in fact I have a blank somewhere that he sent me, I will have a look & see if I can find it, hopefully if Bill sees this he can tell us exactly what they're from.

Hi Billy,

If you do have something like that, I'd be most grateful!

I'll message Bill too, see if I can get a bit more on the provenance.

Thank you!
