Hi pen people.

I know I said I wouldn’t post another for a while but, as this is a bit different, I thought I’d squeeze another in. (Also it’s a bit quiet on here recently - I keep seeing posts from months back on the front page).

Anyway this is casein (with navy blue acrylic). For those who don’t know casein is an older type of plastic that is made as a bi-product of the diary industry. So it’s not suitable for vegans.
It isn't as popular as it once was due to the technical developments in plastic manufacture but many pen brands used to make pens from this.

The raw blank is quite narrow so I had to make the cap from acrylic but, as it’s tapered, I was able to use a bit more of the casein at the end of the cap to tie it together.

It has a Bock no6 nib and a chrome plated steel pocket clip.

WOW, that's a stunning blank.... Yes the cap ties in with the main body, how you have the patience with a black blank I don't know, they seem to show every little mark, yours is beautiful :yourtheman:
