Need a Dummy's Guide to Threading.

I need a dummy's guide on how to cut threads on a lathe, I vaguely remember doing this a high school but the memory has dimmed a bit in the last 40 or so years since.
The high quality loose leaved photo copy chinglish manual is a waste of time reading it.
I want to cut a 3/4" 12tpi thread.
How do I go about it?

Dont forget when you engage the saddle to a number and stick to it or you may well cross thread you threads already cut. Also being metric it may not do tpi.
I have never cut metric threads only english and that was a year or two ago, ok 50 years lol.

Mark your Chinese lathe must be identical to many other lathes sold under other names there are many dedicated sites around to look for further info in common with your lathe. The explanation given by
Walter is universal.

Mark, I don't know this exact lathe, but for a start
I guess A-B at 60 and 30 with lever at #7 will give you 12tpi???
At least this lathe does metric and inch threads.
