I have the older Axminster one of this model. Yes I found the sight glass screws hit the wood at first but all I did was adjust the fence guide slightly and no problems as I had fitted it to high so that is not a problem with the machine. Like most bandsaws they need a little adjustments when first fitting/changing a blade but is well worth the trouble setting up it is not as though you need to change the blade every 5 minutes.


Out of the two you mentioned I would definitely go for the Axminster one.


Clarkes use to be terrible if you needed parts as well took the company 9 months to get a screw in plug for a water pump and we were agents for them when I was still at work that was
