Hi everyone,
I'm Mick, 60 years young(ish).
Just bought my first lathe and will be getting everything set up soon. Totally new to turning apart from when at school a long time ago.
Thanks for the chance to take part on here.

cheer, Mick.

Welcome aboard Mick, we are a friendly bunch of Turners in here with mixed skills, so most bases get covered. Feel free to ask questions, there's no such thing as a silly question...... But I can't vouch for the answers:funny::funny:

Welcome to the site Mick. Been there got the scars.

For what it's worth, the best advice I ever got was 'go see an experienced turner BEFORE you spend loads of money'.

Given the language problems  - I'd see if Lons could take you through the initial learning curve.

Regards,
Chriscb
