The thing is, significant numbers of people must be buying this stuff, otherwise PSI wouldn't constantly be churning out new models. I'm guessing though that the need for new models is driven by the fact that demand for the older ones falls off quite quickly. PSI seems to do quite well from that business model though - they are not exactly a small player in the pen kit market.

That company is heading in a strange direction,it reminds me of leading kids when I was growing up during WW2 the toys were significant.

Strangely enough - and perhaps only here in the land of "Second Amendment" fervor, there are a number of sportsman shows going on regularly. (It actually very common right now in my part of the nation because whitetail deer season will soon be upon us.) These shows are popular, geared primarily toward hunters and fishermen, they also cater to memorabilia collectors...and the money flows. Someone who was willing to specialize in these sorts of "pens" (and I think "pens" is a stretch) would probably make a mint. I can't bring myself to even try a pen like the ones Terry pointed out, or even the less ostentatious rifle pens, but Phil spoke volumes; someone is buying these. It just is not me!

There is clearly a market in the States for a pen that can write and kill too! I am sure to someone of that mindset it is gorgeous.:thinks:

Pretty sure old Charlton Heston would have the full set if he were still with us, "I'll give you my pen when you pry (or take) it from my cold, dead hands"!!!!

Some strange designs in that catalogue for sure.

I know personally fifteen sales immediately but on principal will never buy those gun kits. Too many wives and mothers would descend on me if I did.

Peter.
