Hello everyone. I'm a hobby woodworker/maker with many years of woodturning experience as well as dabbling in all sorts of other pastimes and activities. I took early retirement in 2016 and I've spent these last few years honing my woodworking skills. My pen-making is sporadic. It tends to be when I have a build-up of interesting off-cuts, burrs or knarly bits in the satsuma box under my lathe. I'm looking forward to getting some inspiration and reading through some of the posts I'm already picking up some good advice and hope I can contribute in some way too.

Kinverkid is an old nickname given to me years ago when I was an ultra-long-distance runner. I wasn't a kid then and I'm not even a native of Kinver but I was the oldest of three Garys in the running group that ran the longest distances so someone saddled me with it.
