Hi.
I am new to this forum and do not have a vast amount of experience in penturning. I started out about 3 years ago after being given a starter kit by my son and have made a fair number of slimline and credit card pens. My preference is to make bespoke pens and to experiment. My major successes to date have been pens made from stainless steel bolts (after seeing SkipRat's on the IAP forum), died / anodised aluminium replica engineer's taps which are actually pens, a pen made from a golf club shaft (also from an IAP posting) and credit card sized pens made from genuine spark plugs (which I have been asked to produce in a larger quantity by a friend to give as gifts to his engineering contacts). I am fortunate enough to have a small engineering lathe and a mill/drill in my garage and an understanding wife indoors! Hope to contribute and to learn!

WElcome Bill as a recipient of a half inch spanner made into a pen fashioned from a plate of 3/8 stainless. The nearest I came to a Spark Plug pen was using Corian for the top and black ebony hex cut with a streamline sentre band for the thread. I look forward to you sharing your images with us,those in the past and in the future. Welcome from over here mate. Skippy aka Steven visited my wife and I for a couple of days earlier this yr ,his wife is a teacher so they used two weeks of her leave time to come over.WE had exchanged pens etc his swap being this pen prior to his vist.
