Well this is a new pen kit for me and I quite like it. I have dressed it in Rosewood but sadly the shine and glare in the photo hides the subtle natural beauty of the grain. I do like the chrome and dark Rosewood together.

Thats rather nice, sometimes a matt finish can look better and show grain more fully, but you cant fault the sheen on that ....very very nice:love_it::love_it:

Funny you should say that. I actually made a pen a few weeks ago from the same piece of rosewood and finished it in melamine lacquer with a matt finish. You can indeed see the grain more fully as you are not fighting the high gloss finish. I would say though that the gloss one above looks lovely in the sunlight. You can see right through it and it does give it depth.

The Rosewood and chrome seem to of worked really well with this pen.

You have done a great job :thumbs::thumbs:

Have you used melamine gloss on it?
