I have emailed DJ Woodturning about the order I place and he is having trouble getting the bushes, so he offered me a refund. I am getting the pens anyway as I don't have to have the bushes.

He has got 100 of these kits and he is looking for around £125, obviously without the bushes.

If you have placed an order, get in touch with him if you haven't already.

Look at his feedback on ebay and you can see that he's not that honourable a person.

Funeturnz all the way as far as ebay is concerned. It's a shame. For ever honest seller there's always some con artist round the corner.:vangry: Hope you get it all sorted out mate:thumbs:

Just an update about the threaded slimlines I ordered from DJ Woodturning. I put in a refund request to Paypal and within about half an hour I had one. It's such a shame I was looking forward to those.

The main thing for me is that you got your money back Peter, the guy has lost a bit of credibility in my eyes, as the least he could have done was come here and state that the offer was off due to whatever reason he had .. We all understand that things don't always go as planned but a quick note saves so much issues ...

Hopefully that will leave the way clear for Dan to get some.
I dunno how many the doc was thinking of getting but I am happy to use them and get them from whoever wants to sell them, at the right price of course.

The money wasn't a real worry it was only £7.50 if I didn't get it back, but the pens were the screw in ones that use a normal mandrel. I agree with you that he would have more credibility if he had explained the problems on the forum.

That's why if Dan keeps going the way he is, we should have him stuffed and put on display to show others how to behave:thumbs:

Evening all, I have been doing some digging re Threaded pen kits. Which threaded kits do you view as standard? I can get hold of the once for the 5mm mandrel but are you looking for once for 7mm Mandrel?

I have got the 5mm mandrel, bushes and pens coming to me. I ordered some of the pen kits for the normal mandrel, as I would have liked to try them, but they are the ones that I have been refunded for as they were supposedly sent to me, but never arrived.

If you can get some I am sure others would like to try them too.

As I have also have the 5mm mandrel on the way I don't mind either the 5mm or the 7mm, whichever is the cheaper of the two would sway my purchases.

The reason i ask is that i have contact with about 5 or 6 manufactures. all of which only make the ones for 5mm mandrel. I am not convinced that the 7mm ones even exist. Maybe D J Woodturning did not realise that they were 5mm ones until he had sold the idea to you guys that he was getting 7mm? Hence the bushings cop out. Just a thought.

I think that the whole thing with this other guy was bullshonet and he didn't have a clue what he was on about. He bought some kits and wanted to flog them and didn't know anything about them. The ones I'm getting use a 5mm mandrel and I started the offer because I thought that the other wasn't going to come to fruition.

Dan, I won't supply any more so that you've got a chance, this was a one off and its now over to you. I can only get gold and silver at the moment and would like blank and gunmetal if you can get them.
