Hi All

Nice to find this forum and excited to see so many enthusiastic pen creators. My brother in Knysna South Africa got me started on his old lathe with some beautiful indigenous timbers from the area.

I am looking to get kitted out with some starter stuff and if there is anyone around the Ashby de la Zouch area in the East Midlands that either gives beginner classes or is happy to show me some ropes I am all ears.

Time for me to go get some more education on the forums and all the best to you all.

Welcome aboard Brendan mate. There's bound to be someone from that area you can visit mate for a demo. If you're stuck you can call to north wales after Christmas and I'll show you the ropes as best as I know them.
