By which do you mean something that secures the mandrel through the headstock? No it's quite delicate, there is a threaded draw bar through the mandrel itself that is no more than a 3mm thread and is bent so easily. There is nut behind the mt that pulls on the bar and squeezes the rubber that grips the inside of the brass tube on your blank. Hope that makes sense?
