Once I start to empty the old workshop I wonder how many bits I will find that I forgot I had lost and the small detent ball I dropped for the drill press many moons ago

Its a well known fact that on dark,moonless nights sheds rearrange themselves.I told this to my grandson,he still believes me.He also believes a dragon called Edward lives under my shed.:fart:

So that's what is happening! Wow!

Seems to be an issue for my garage as well as my shop - wife and I have been looking for a whisk broom that I know is supposed to be on the shelf next to the garage door for more than a week.

Thats why I have 2 or 3 of certain tools.:ciggrin:

Yes agreed. I have at least 5 or 6 tape measures around the place! :wink:

Top Tip for outdoor workshops: Clip Lock food containers with a piece of anti-rust paper in them are good for storing small tools that would otherwise rust quite easily.

Never had that problem in the old shop as well insulated and heated all the time with a greenhouse heater

Some progress on the new workshop preparation. My wood store is empty and nearly ready to be pulled down. The concrete blocks for the base of the new workshop turned up today and I am now totally knackered. Tomorrow the wood store will be pulled down and the base re leveled as it was not designed for a shed in the first place. still loads to do it would have been simpler to have started from scratch

Been a long time since I have visited these hallowed halls of Pen Turning...:praying:

But agree, moved into the new workshop nearly 2 years ago now and STILL opening small boxes and finding items I had thought were lost in the move :thinks:
"Lost" my small router so had to purchase a new one, searched high and low for the old one but could not find it..
New one arrived, cleared a shelf and thought - don't remember THAT box so opened it... One Router :goesred:
So now have two :funny::funny::funny:
Oh the thrills of opening the workshop door and never knowing what your going to find :whistling:

Perhaps the tip might be of use to others reading this thread that don’t have the luxury of a heated workshop. :wink:
