On Saturday I fell down 3 concrete steps outside my front door. It was raining hard & I got hold of the handrail bit there was so much water on the handrail that my hand aquaplaned down the handrail & off the end. I went headlong down the steps twisting my body as I went & landed smack on my right elbow. I hit the bone & lost quite a bit of skin & flesh off the elbow.
I went to A&E yesterday where they cleaned & dressed the wound then ex-rayed the elbow. No broken bones but they put a restraining bandage on to stop me moving the elbow. I got spare dressings & antibiotics & I was out in 11/2 hours. Must be a record for A&E. The pain level is12-10 so I’ve had a couple of long restless nights.:sob:

Take it easy Bill Mooney hope you heal soon and are able to get back into the swing of things. Glad it was not a broken bone at least but still enough to lay you up.

How many times have we told you to stop sliding down the banister:funny::funny::funny:

Bill that's an awful thing to happen and I hope you have a speedy recovery.

Does that mean you won't be having the turkey leg on Christmas day :sob:

Been there mate and understand. My mate the toy maker had a cure for balance and other things, bloke in Canberra who used a head cage with electrodes and a giant hammer to gently send messages whilst raising him in a special chair. He had major balance,Menniers etc,two visits apparently the tiny crystals in the ear get reassembled. As a frequent faller I am booked in first week in January. All the best mate.

That sucks to say the least.
A couple weeks ago I slipped on some ice and went down on my right elbow and back, my head being the last to bounce off the concrete. Head was fine after 3 or four days but the elbow smarts if I put pressure on one spot of cartilage. The only benefit is it is keeping me from putting my elbows on the table.
Speedy recovery.

Noooooo!

So sorry to hear the news Bill. Best wishes for a full and speedy recovery, and I hope it doesn't impact on your ability to enjoy Christmas.
