Pulled these out of the display cabinet. Just though I would put up a couple of pics and see what you guys think.........:pray:
These were both based on very old goblets that were on Antiques Road Show I think and were apparently about 500 years old...:nooidea::nooidea:

Goblet 01.jpgGoblet 02.jpg

The one on the left did have the base much smaller than the centre and the cup and the straight sides. Weird !!!!
One on the right was only my second attempt so I was and am extremely happy with it
but your C & C's always welcome....:bwink:

Cheers

Even though I am not keen on the design and you did make a replica of an old couple of goblets they are very well turned and finished and I can say that as I have had the pleasure of seeing these in the flesh well done Dave

Very Nice Dave, they look mint. Pleased with it? I'd pass out if I made summat as good as that.

Did you find out if the oversize disc served a purpose or was just a fashion of the times?

To be honest, I haven't a clue. I think possibly it was early stages of "modern" world glass making bearing in mind glass goblets have been being made for about 2000 years.
