Hi all,
I don't follow football or many team sports to be honest, but when asked to make a pen I always will....
Blank was from Penkitz and Bitz, finish was Machine Marts car paint polish after going through the sanding grades.... I hate black!!

I met my wife when she was living 100K from me she was expected to wear black where she worked and the habit persists to now.In my youth I worked in Black and white and all the other tiones with my photography developing a great feeling for the media.
Like your pen. I find photographing dark colours quite a challenge though.Bride and groom photography demanded detail white for the bride and detail black traditionally fo the groom. In the 1970,s when we had a Photographic Studio I used to selectively tone by bleaching having literraly with Cow Gum the areas I wanted Black afterward removing the gum by friction,up until the mid seventies colour was a dream away and all portraits were hand coloured. Richard Raffan in his extensive wisdom says most all timbers become dark or darker over time, however modern techniques defy this.

Colour and tones are personal so when dealing with people I have always enquired do you prefer dark or light timbers etc. Viva La Differance.
With your pe I like the toning, design.

Itā€™s a lovely well turned pen, why anyone would want to support the hammers is beyond me, but each to their own says this QPR fan šŸ˜ lol!
