Ali carved this as a present for Betty (nee Terry), the last survivor of the Terry chocolate family that lived at Goddards where she works.
They apparently had a great menagerie including Dormice in the late 20's / 30's.

Betty is a lucky person mate that is a top tiny animal first class mate reminds me of Japanese carving.
