I don't think God was penturner otherwise he would not have invented Burr Elm.
This stuff is a nightmare if not stabilised.:sob:

This is my third attempt at this pen, but fun none the less.

God did have the foresight to invent CA glue and sanding sealer too though, as a result of feedback from Moses, and a few scribes along the way. (The Pharasees were against it though - obviously)

Hi Peter

I have had to turn it down to brass again. It didn't occur to me to take a picture. I should have done really.
I was in a bit of a hurry as I wanted to finish it by Tuesday so I could send it in for POTW.

It would be a good idea to move my bed into the workshop; doubt if I would ever come into the house.

Hope this attempt (number 4) will turn out OK. Thank God for thin CA, which he invented I believe

Best etc

Burr Elm is lovely, especially if it isn't stabalised, you can do so much with it .... keep persevering, light cuts, sharp tools

Done this a few years back.

Lovely pen. Just my style and you are quite correct, it’s a lovely wood.
I was thinking that if I stabilise the the next one, I might put a colour tint in the Cactus Juice and
see how that turns out. Natural does look the business though.

Cheers
