Made an Alpha today from a piece of Oak. I finished it was Hampshire Sheen. The customer requested a calligraphy nib so Mr Dart came into play.
I really like the results.

Off to Germany it goes.

Combined need the nib and kit they made some sort of history for me excellent pen Dan I would never have thought a fountain pen would support a nib that size.

Very nice Dan. How do you rate the finish that you used I have read a bit about it

I like the finish you get from it. I have used it with and without sanding sealer, I like both results. Obviously the one with the sealer give more of a satin finish as opposed to the Matt you get without.

As yet I can't say how it will hold up to the use of a pen but i do like it a lot.
