A gold plated Euro pen on an Oak blank with a Celtic Cross made with Osage. The center band is made from Blackwood ... Finished with friction and polished with Renaissance wax ..

Hi Jim,

I agree you do these well and I respect that neat pen, you have prompted me to search out some of those kits I will leave the Celts to you. Like the way then pen comes together.

Kind regards Peter.:goesred:

Thanks for the comments guys, this is one of the old pens i made a while ago .. I used to use a jig on a table saw to make the crosses, i sold the saw to make room when i bought a router and table which i have never used in well over a year since i have had it ... Rowdy, i have never used the Osage other than for segmenting so i can't give you a full account of how it turns, but i have had chip outs when used in segmenting ... :bwink:

Nice one Jim. It must have been in that lost lot recently found. By the way have you used that combination of woods and cross on a slimline. I seem to think I've seen it before!!!!

Just mentioned it above Terry, you are probably right with the same combination on a Slimline but it will probably be long gone now or in another game of hide and seek that the war office seems to play with me ...

That really is a smart pen Jim ..... the colour combo and wood types were made for each other.
