Looks good from here George you have done the burr or is that burl justice. But it could have been better without the light reflecting of the side which does not let the grain fully show

Smooth as bowl George like the way you never filled the grain allowing the beauty to be seen and admired. A real keeper, your turning is the best.

Cheers Derek my photography still needs work

Not the easiest things to photograph especially as you have curved surfaces to deal with. If using a light source off to the side a piece of white paper and aim the light at that so is reflect back onto the item. It will still give a certain amount of directional lighting but not so harsh.

But don't let that put you off turning a lovely piece like this
