Not a pensioner, but Ornamental Apple turned green and finished in Chestnut food safe oil.
5 1/2" x 1 3/4" The tree was in our front garden when we bought the house in 1991 but it had to come down in January as it was at its natural end.

When I first saw the title I did wonder if it was an old bowl or turner.:face:

Some lovely grain in that one Neil would be a shame to put anything in it to cover it up:thumbs:
