Oh! Look at this!

Decided that a faceted pen was finally not beyond my skill set. Planned a bronze clip for this. Then looked at it and said, "Nope. Done." (Octagonal, so it doesn't need a rollstop either!) 13 mm cap threads, Acrylic with ebonite section, Bock #6 nib from Phil. Might actually keep this one.

It looks like the cap has a cap. I suppose that's because you decided not using a clip after separating the top.
I think it is great like that. The customer could choose whether to have a clip or even dress it with metal Octagonal inserts.

One of the best pens I have seen.

Thanks, Paul. This is exactly the case - the cap finial threads out to add the clip (which may or may not happen). The design was to include an octagonal clip ring that would be visible and slightly larger than the cap and finial just to interrupt the lines of the pen a little. I may just leave this one alone and incorporate the clip design in the next. I have a knack for taking something that is "just right" one step further and having "not quite right" in the end.

Thank you, gents. Turning a pen on a lathe forces the brain to learn to think about "center" all of the time. The process for this has really made "thinking center" move horizontally too. What a stretch for the mind. Fun pen. More of these coming, I dare say. Thanks again.
