I bought up all the old stock that TR had up for sale at £1.00 each, but of course they offered me the lot for an even better price including postage. I thought I would turn one today as I have had then for nearly about 18 months and haven't got round to it. The turning was fine although I used some spalted timber that I had to keep flooding with CA, but that isn't the problem.

The problem is I can't quite get it to seat correctly and it looks like the top part doesn't come low enough onto the bottom blank. I know Woody and Jim have had these pencils from TR, but I can't find one on the Forum that has been assembled so that I can see how it should look when seated properly. I also had to trim a lip off the pencil mechanism to get it to seat anywhere near the correct position, but that can't be right. I have also given some of these kits to people on the Forum, but have not seen anyone put up a photo of the finished item. Does anyone have a photo of the finished item so I can see what it should look like.

You can see the kit here and in bulk here
