it has to be FP
old fashioned looking
will be dressed in either mahogany or utile

any suggestions what kit please

Steve, why not go for a Sedona or Junior Gents ex Timberbits? They are nice-looking pens, and don't cost the earth!

Baron, Roman Harvest, Sedona, from T/B's .. Empress from Axmin, all good pens .. :thumbs:

empress ...had a stone fall out of one...fail
JR...i like the look but gold out of stock...did i say it needs to be gold
sedona...only done one and i had a failed thread

How about a closed end pen and use the clip but close the cap with the same wood too, then you could use any kit and it would look old

How old do you want it to look?
Quill, Hammer and chisel, not sure you're gonna find it in a kit.
Certainly not one with any quality about it, a blingless Roman Harvest is what I would go for but that is a lot of work if you have a quantity to do.

Nothing ventured. . . . .

The round top euro that Woody suggested would work well with a closed end barrel and look quite traditional like an old Parker or Sheaffer.
